What made you choose your institution over others?

The difference between work at university compared to how we worked for most of our school life.

What did you wish you knew before choosing your specific program?

Referencing and essay writing skills.

What was your best experience at university?

A social event where everyone was having a good time and were all in the same ‘crowd’.

What was your worst university experience?

A day of terrible lectures.

What is the hardest part about your program and what were the steps that you took to overcome any difficulties?

The mental strain of the work. I dealt with it by going to counselling after being referred by my GP.

What was your favourite module/course and why?

Revolution and Reaction; it was very interesting looking at different political philosophies. However, I wish we did less in order to focus on the texts for longer than a week.

What tips and advice would you give to first year students?

Take things at your own pace and don’t feel intimidated or put off by the shift in work ethic and style.
